foof makes desirable soft furnishings for Apple MacBook Series, the iPhone, iPod Touch and the iPad tablet.

We started in Dublin, Ireland in 2004, creating our first prototype foofbag for the 12" iBook. We then started making more foofbag sizes and extended our range to include genuine Irish Tweed made from 100% wool. Shortly after that, (due to popular demand) we introduced the foofpod for iPod users. We have since introduced all types of fabrics ranging from corduroy and denim to hard-to-obtain Kimono Obi polyester.

foof products are now made in Australia, from imported fabrics from Ireland, Scotland, England, Japan, Korea and China.

foof has become a prominent niche artisan brand, offering an alternative funky protective sleeve that is not made from neoprene, rubber or foam. People who buy foof products like their fabrics real and their furnishings simple. No zippers, no straps, no velcro, no buckles, no pockets, no flaps.

Our products are all handmade, by people who get paid a decent wage. We do not condone minimum wage slave labour. At foof we have a strong moral obligation to not resort to employing factory workers in the third world so that we can offer a more competitive product to the first world.

We use the absolute minimum of packaging. As a business, we have the responsibility to reduce un-necessary waste, especially packaging that is typically discarded within seconds of being opened. We ship our products in a robust recyclable, oxo-degradable LDPE 4 satchel (It will self destruct but not in transit). Say no to blister packs and ridiculous packaging people!

Each foofpod we make is quality checked inspected and cleaned before dispatch. We love the products we make and often swap between different foofpods and foofbags to protect our own gadgets.

Our products offer scratch and dust protection and the inner lining minimizes vertical scratching often found with other plastic or silicone cases.

As a testament to iPhone scratch protection, our test iPhone has been inserted into different foofpods over 100,000 times, showing only the most subtlest of markings. Admittedly, the iPhone is very hard to keep pristine from real world use, but a foofpod definitely goes along way to preserving it's originality.

We have many imitators and the market for iPod and laptop protective sleeves is highly competitive. At foof, we retain the edge by offering some very unique fabrics that can only be obtained by visiting the country in which they are made. Those places are our secrets of course!
